Introduction

 

Workshop format: review of BSFT NS capabilities, placing end to end routing and translations requirements in a functional framework, applications. Hands on troubleshooting on the NS.

 

Audience

 

This course is intended for the subset of core network engineers responsible for network side telephony routing and translations.

 

Prerequisites

  • TCP/IP fundamentals
  • Unix fundamentals
  • SIP/SIP Networking with SIP
  • BroadWorks INTRO training highly desirable

 

Objectives

  • ability to design end to end VoIP translations
  • general understanding of best practices in translations design
  • ability to diagnose and resolve translation-related issues

 

Preparation (pre-class)

  • review the Leonid end to end translations worksheet (available on request) and fill out to the best of your ability for your network
