Routing & Translations
Introduction
Workshop format: review of BSFT NS capabilities, placing end to end routing and translations requirements in a functional framework, applications. Hands on troubleshooting on the NS.
Audience
This course is intended for the subset of core network engineers responsible for network side telephony routing and translations.
Prerequisites
- TCP/IP fundamentals
- Unix fundamentals
- SIP/SIP Networking with SIP
- BroadWorks INTRO training highly desirable
Objectives
- ability to design end to end VoIP translations
- general understanding of best practices in translations design
- ability to diagnose and resolve translation-related issues
Preparation (pre-class)
- review the Leonid end to end translations worksheet (available on request) and fill out to the best of your ability for your network
